One of the perks of working here at Marshall Industries is knowing you’re with a company that cares. Cares about its employees, customers, families & the community. We have been so blessed over the years & feel it is only right to pay it forward.
There are so many families not only around the world but in our own backyard, that are affected by domestic violence. Luckily, with the help of volunteers & donations made, shelters have been designed & built to provide a safe haven for those women & children that are looking for a way out. We here at Marshall Industries wanted to give those children something that would hopefully help them enjoy being a kid again, in any way that we could. We did this by gathering bubbles, stickers, sidewalk chalk, bean bags, mini journals, card games, suckers, stuffed animals & much more, into boxes with our employees & their families. We got together & were able to assembled 200 “treasure boxes” for these children.
Being a part of something bigger, reminds us each day how lucky we are & how important it is to give back to those in need. These boxes have been distributed to Women & Children Shelters across the Salt Lake Valley. We could not be happier to know that they brought a smile to a child’s face that may have not had one for a while, due to circumstances that are out of their control. It was something so easy to do but the impact it made on the child that received it was so much bigger.
Because of the success & positive feedback from this, we will be continuing this tradition for years to come. Whatever the cause we decide to do next year, we can only hope it helps them the way this one has. We urge our employees to give back to the community & will strive to make a difference in the world around us, not just once a year but in our everyday lives.
